Mini Mountain Challenge

Sunday, July 26, 2020

The Mini Mountain Challenge is similar to the Tough Mountain Challenge, but designed for kids ages 4 through 12 to get dirty and have fun. Kids can expect uphill and downhill running combined with dirt, mud, fun obstacles, snowguns, and more.

The Mini Mountain Challenge is organized into three heats: 10AM for ages 10-12, 10:30AM for ages 7-9, and and 11AM for ages 4-6. Course length and obstacles will vary for each age group.

2019 Obstacles

Ages 4-6

This course is less than a mile. No swimming required.

1. Hay Tower: The start of the race will bring you over a mound of hay bales
2. Shoe Sucker: This watery mud pit is about waist deep, but tiny tykes can choose to run through it or around the muddy sides. Make sure their shoes are tied tight—it tends to suck the shoes right off.
3. Rainbow Road: Kids who have played Mario Cart will understand this on as they run through a rainbow of pool noodles under smiley stars.
4. Baby Shark Slide: A bigger version of your backyard slip and slide, kids will be singing "doo doo do do doo doo," as they slide past baby sharks.
5. Telletubby Tire Trail: Jump through mini tires with Telletubbies LaaLaa and Po looking on.
6. Ball Pit Crawl: Over 200 balls fill our extra colorful ball pit.
7. Culvert Crossing: Kids will tunnel through one of three culverts.
8. Foam Party Finish: The final obstacle is a fun ending to this adventure. Kids can run through a fluffy foam wall on their way to the finish line.

Ages 7-9
