Conquer the mini mountains and splash through the mud!

About

Mini Mountain offers a kid-friendly version of Tough Mountain for ages 4-12. It features uphill and downhill running, dirt, mud, fun obstacles, and even snowguns!  

The challenges and distances increase for older kids. The event has three heats, and each heat has a course tailored to its age group.  

Sign up by May 31st to guarantee a t-shirt!

Early registration includes entry into the race, a t-shirt, and a finisher's medal. 

What to Expect

Course Preview

Approximately one mile following the lower section of the Tough Mountain course. A short swim is required, with personal floatation devices available at the Slip 'n' Slide. 

 

1. Hay Tower: The start of the race will bring you over a mound of hay bales
2. Shoe Sucker: This watery mud pit is knee to thigh deep. Make sure their shoes are tied tight.
3. Hurricane Alley: Twelve snowmaking guns blow waves of water into the air to charge through while making your way uphill.
4. Bust 'n' Burn: Run and climb across 100 feet of deep, muddy ditches under a barrage of snow guns. 
5. Valley of Death: It get intense as snow guns blast at you.
6. B2W: Up and over! Climb and descend a large ladder wall.
7. Landslide: Think you have what it takes to climb UP this slippery slope?
8. Cage Crawl: Grab onto the cage above as you shimmy through muddy water. 
9. Snow 'n' Steady: Balance your way across snowmaking pipes spanning a long and very dirty pond.
10. Slip 'n' Slide: This delightful obstacle is gravity-fed and deposits you into a pool with a mighty splash.
11. Steam Roller: Squeeze beneath this tight obstacle.
12. Muddy Pit: Of course there's mud. Make your way through the mud pit and try not to lose your shoes.

5. Snow & Steady: Balance your way across snowmaking pipes spanning a long and very dirty pond.
6. Slip & Slide: This delightful obstacle is gravity-fed and deposits you into a pool with a mighty splash.
7. Steam Roller: Squeeze beneath this tight obstacle.
8. Muddy Pit: Your last chance to get muddy!
9. Foam Party Finish: Clean off with a fluffy foam wall on their way to the finish line.

Less than one-quarter mile with obstacles designed for smaller kids. No swimming required. 

 

1. Hay Tower: The start of the race will bring you over a mound of hay bales.
2. Shoe Sucker: This watery mud pit is about waist deep, but kids can choose to run through it or around the muddy sides. Make sure their shoes are tied tight! 
3. Rainbow Road: Kids who have played Mario Cart will understand this on as they run through a rainbow of pool noodles. 
4. Slippery Slide: A bigger version of your backyard slip and slide. 
5. Culvert Crossing: Kids will tunnel through one of three culverts. 
6. Ball Pit Crawl: Over 200 balls fill our extra colorful ball pit. 
7. Foam Party Finish: The final obstacle is a fun ending. Kids can run through a fluffy foam wall on their way to the finish line.  

Tips

All kids should bring clothes and shoes that can get dirty during the race and a change of clothes for after.

Registration is limited to 400 kids, with some spots available for same-day registration. It is recommended to sign up in advance to guarantee a spot and a t-shirt.
